Silicon-aluminum composite (Si/Al) is a binary alloy composed of silicon and aluminum. It combines low density, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, high thermal conductivity, low expansion and good machinability.
The material is widely used in high-power integrated circuit packaging, carriers, optical frames, heat sinks, mechanical equipment and automotive engine components.
